News bites: NJ email voting hits snags

By Jennifer Martinez - 11/06/12 09:56 AM ET

Silicon Valley and the Federal Trade Commission are battling it out over updates to online child privacy rules, The New York Times writes.

New Jersey's effort to let citizens vote by email is already running into some snags, BuzzFeed reports.

A report mandated by Congress is expected to say that China is the most threatening actor in cyberspace, Bloomberg reports.

One of the largest cyberattacks on a state government took place last month after a hacker stole tax information from a South Carolina computer, according to The New York Times.

Silicon Valley investor Marc Andreessen predicts the 2024 election will take place entirely online, according to CNET.
