News bites: Sprint strikes spectrum deal with US Cellular

Sprint agreed to buy spectrum licenses and other assets from U.S. Cellular for $480 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. 

The Samsung Galaxy SIII has overtaken Apple's iPhone as the most popular smartphone, according to Reuters.

Verizon won't charge Sandy victims for voice and text usage, CNET writes.

A judge denied Fox's request for an injunction against Dish's Autohop ad skipper, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Apple stock has slid in anticipation of higher capital gains taxes, The New York Times reports.
