News bites: Microsoft and Motorola head to court over patent dispute

Microsoft and Motorola are headed to court this week to argue a patent dispute over streaming technology, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Apple and HTC agreed to settle a series of patent lawsuits against each other, The New York Times reports. 

China's top intellectual property officer says that the Western media has distorted the country's piracy problem and that its efforts to protect intellectual property have been ignored, Reuters reports.

U.K. lawmakers are set to question Google, Amazon and Starbucks about how they rake in billions of dollars in Britain but pay only a small tax on their sales, Reuters writes.
