News bites: Key Microsoft exec departs

Steven Sinofsky, the president of Microsoft's Windows division, has left the company, The New York Times reports.

Belizean police want to question McAfee founder John McAfee about the weekend murder of his neighbor, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Financial information that Microsoft and Motorola usually keep under wraps could be revealed in court this week as the two companies face off in a patent dispute, Reuters writes.

Apple is letting some employees spend a few weeks working on a pet engineering project, similar to Google's "20 percent time" concept, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Lockheed Martin said the number and sophistication of attacks on its networks have "increased dramatically," Reuters writes.
