News bites: Tajikistan blocks access to Facebook

Police in New York have amassed a trove of cellphone logs collected from stolen cellphones that could be used for investigative purposes, The New York Times reports.

Tajikistan has blocked access to Facebook after negative comments were posted about the country's president and other government officials on the social-networking site, according to Reuters.

A New Jersey security firm has constructed a virtual city for the Pentagon that lets government hackers practice thwarting cyberattacks against critical infrastructure, The Washington Post reports.

Ericsson has filed a patent suit against Samsung, arguing that the South Korean company has continued to use its technology after a licensing deal expired, Bloomberg writes.
