News bites: EU antitrust officials still deciding Google case

The EU's top antitrust regulator said it has not made a decision in its case against Google and regulators are still in discussions with the company to reach a settlement, Reuters reports.

A group of Austrian law students are gearing up to take Facebook to court in Ireland over privacy concerns, The New York Times writes.

Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt told The Wall Street Journal that he's not interested in working for the federal government. 

The D.C. Council approved legislation that allows Uber to operate in the city, according to CNET. 

The U.S. and EU have launched a joint effort to crack down on online child sex abuse, the BBC reports. 

Pandora predicted a loss in the fourth-quarter during its earnings call, sending its shares down 18 percent, the AP writes.
