News bites: Compromise draft floated for UN telecom treaty

The developer of a popular games app for kids temporarily pulled the product from app stores after the Center for Digital Democracy filed a privacy complaint against it to the Federal Trade Commission, The New York Times reports.

A draft circulated by the chairman of a United Nations treaty conference in Dubai is sparking hopes for a compromise among delegates after a week of gridlock in negotiations, Reuters writes.

Amazon secured an agreement with the state of Massachusetts to begin collecting sales tax from residents there, according to The Wall Street Journal

The FBI busted an international crime ring that infected 11 million computers with help from Facebook, Reuters reports.
