News bites: US banks face risk of cyberattack

The National Counterterrorism Center can now tap into government databases of innocent U.S. citizens and analyze the data to identify suspicious behavior, according to The Wall Street Journal.

A McAfee Labs report warns that 30 of the nation's largest banks are at risk of a major cyberattack next year, according to CNN.

EU regulators accepted an offer by Apple and four book publishers to let retailers set prices on e-books, handing Amazon a victory, Reuters reports.

Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt says Android is extending its lead over Apple in the mobile market, according to Bloomberg.

Khosla Ventures retained former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates as advisers, TechCrunch writes.
