News bites: Judge rejects Apple's injunction bid against Samsung

A federal judge denied Apple's request for a permanent injunction against Samsung smartphones, Reuters reports. 

App developers are worried about the Federal Trade Commission's new online privacy rules for children, according to the Associated Press.

Massachusetts fined Morgan Stanley $5 million for "improper influence" by one of its bankers ahead of Facebook's IPO, The Wall Street Journal writes. 

The New York Times examines Instagram's new terms of service.

A man who hacked into the personal online accounts of Scarlett Johansson and other celebrities was sentenced to 10 years in prison, the Associated Press reports.
