News bites: Verizon posts $1.93 billion loss

Verizon posted a $1.93 billion quarterly loss due to pension liabilities and costs from Hurricane Sandy, Reuters writes. 

Video game maker Atari filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, The Wall Street Journal reports.  

Regulators are ordering employers to scale back policies that limit what workers can say on social media sites, according to The New York Times

Kim Dotcom's new file-sharing site is struggling to keep up with massive demand, The Associated Press writes.
