News bites: GM bringing 4G service to autos

General Motors has partnered with AT&T to bring 4G LTE service to its new vehicles beginning next year, Bloomberg reports.

A cyber cold war between the U.S. and China is testing the relationship between the two nations, The New York Times writes.

Chinese telecom giant Huawei is pouring money into research and development to leap ahead of its rivals, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The CEOs of AT&T, Vodafone and Telefonica had rare words of praise for U.S. regulators, saying they're doing better than their European counterparts, The Associated Press reports.

Barnes & Noble Chairman Leonard Riggio plans to buy the company's retail assets, excluding its Nook e-reader business, Reuters explains.

Recent hacks of major corporate Twitter accounts have raised questions about the security of social media, The New York Times says.
