Video: Intel CTO on innovation, health IT, broadband

At the Innovation Economy Conference held this week in Washington, I had a short chat with Intel Chief Technology Officer Justin Rattner.

He was in town to emphasize the need for continued investment in research and development as well as other areas that will create jobs and spur new products and industries. Health IT is a big area for Intel. The chip-maker wants to enable patients to communicate with their health care providers without having to leave their homes. Broadband expansion is another big priority. Intel has made a hefty investment in Clearwire, the company that is building out Wi-Max, 4G wireless broadband service, around the country.
