White House launches new website section to boost health plan

By Michael O'Brien - 02/22/10 01:40 PM ET

The White House launched a new section of its website on Monday to highlight its healthcare plan.

After releasing the outline of its own healthcare reform proposal this morning, the White House laid out how and where visitors could learn about and engage the new proposal.

The new section, "Putting Americans in Control of Their Health Care," highlights aspects of President Barack Obama's health plan and highlights Republican proposals included in Obama's.

It also previews the bipartisan healthcare summit with House and Senate leaders from both parties, set for Thursday at the Blair House.

The White House first promoted its new section in a blog posting on its website, which also promoted other areas of the website to check out the administration's health reform efforts.
