Dems are trying to slam brakes on a legislative effort by GOP to overhaul regs for TV.
The House Judiciary subcommittee on Intellectual Property will hold a hearing Thursday to examine the section of copyright law that provides protections for online services that can be used to violate intellectual property protections.
“There’s a lot of innovation that isn’t dependent on Washington doing anything,” the Microsoft co-founder said on Wednesday. “It’d be great to fund basic research and energy more than we do… but a lot of the things that will really improve the world fortunately aren’t dependent on Washington doing something different."
The phone records will be held for lawsuits challenging the legality of their collection.
