Jill Biden says even a little lipstick can go a long way.
The vice president’s wife was on-hand Thursday at the Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer, where she joined some of Washington’s news anchors in raising money for support programs around the nation’s capital.
“The little things matter,” Biden said. “Once during a down period in my life, a friend bought me a red Chanel lipstick: It was a small gesture that made all the difference."
Organizers estimate the bash raised more than $30,000 for the night’s beneficiary, Survivors Offering Support.
Eyed at the event: NBC4’s Angie Goff and Eun Yang, WJLA’s Rebecca Cooper and Alison Starling, WUSA9’s Lesli Foster and Andrea Roane, Fox 5’s Sue Palka and Shawn Yancy, Bloomberg’s Megan Hughes, and WTOP’s Hillary Howard.
