Quigley is co-chairman of the House Hockey Caucus and a die-hard hockey fan and player.

Durbin was poised to host a reception on the Hill later that day.

Earlier, President Obama honored the 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks at a ceremony at the White House.
