He’s already been deemed “D.C.’s Funniest Celebrity,” and now Grover Norquist might get a shot at garnering laughs from a Hollywood audience.
The Americans for Tax Reform president, who took the top spot in September’s annual “Funniest Celeb” charity fundraiser, tells ITK he recently taped an interview for comedian Pauly Shore’s podcast.
The “Bio-Dome” star’s mom, Mitzi Shore, co-founded the legendary club The Comedy Store in California.
The actor, who filmed the politically infused Showtime special “Pauly-tics” in Washington last year, told Norquist the next time he’s in California, he should perform a standup set at the Los Angeles institution.
Shore even confirmed the invite in a recent tweet, writing to Norquist, “Can’t wait for u to come out west, so I can put u on stage at mom’s club to do 6 mins. Now lets lower some taxes!”
