Kentucky resident Patrick Fette was recently named a winner at the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Germany. The 27-year-old reportedly won the coveted English Moustache division, which is described as a “slender moustache extending outward from the middle of the lip.”
The judges handed down a perfect score for Fette’s styled lip sweater.
Yarmuth congratulated Fette on Twitter on Monday. The 66-year-old congressman — who we hear has never sported facial hair himself — tells ITK he’s not surprised by the follicle victory: “Louisville is Muhammad Ali’s hometown, so greatness is nothing new. We always find it right under our noses.”
