Nearly a week after confirming to ITK that Rep. Tom CottonTom CottonCoors, ex-NFL coach to fundraise for Trump GOP senators: Brexit vote a wake-up call Sessions warns of 'radical' Clinton immigration policy MORE will soon be a married man, the Arkansas Republican’s office is staying mum about the story behind his engagement.
While a spokeswoman said her boss is indeed poised to take the plunge, the identity of his fiancée and details of how he popped the question remain a mystery.
When pressed for any info on the impending nuptials, communications director Caroline Rabbitt told us in an email, “Like all newly engaged couples he and his fiancé will share additional details with family and friends as they are available.”
Roby Brock, an executive producer at the Arkansas news site Talk Business, tweeted what he described as a bit more info about Cotton’s secret sweetheart, writing her name is Anna and “She grew up in rural Nebraska; parents were dairy farmers. She’s very pleasant; Arkansans will like her.”
Cotton and his fiancée were introduced by mutual friends.
Cotton, who is running for the Senate, was born and raised on his family’s cattle farm.
Rabbitt tells us the apparently privacy-seeking pair does “appreciate everyone’s well wishes.”
