Actress Glenn Close will be on Capitol Hill Wednesday, pushing for the passage of mental health legislation.

Close will appear at a press conference on the bill with its authors, Sens. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) and Roy Blunt (R-Mo.). The measure, which would set up demonstration programs in 10 states, cleared the Senate Finance Committee last week.

Close has been nominated for six Oscars, appearing in such classics as “The Natural,” “Fatal Attraction” and “The Big Chill.” She is the founder of Bring Change 2 Mind, a group that works to end discrimination against those living with mental illness.
