"Our family is also very much looking forward to the arrival of the newest addition to our Duffy clan," the two-term lawmaker wrote in a holiday newsletter that went out on Monday.

The Duffys originally made the announcement on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" last week, where they were promoting Rachel Campos-Duffy's new book, Stay Home, Stay Happy: 10 Secrets to Loving At Home Motherhood.

They didn't offer a due date but took some good-natured ribbing about their large clan.

"We're couped-up" in the Wisconsin snow, Duffy joked about how their big family came about.

"There's a deficit in Hispanics and we're doing our part," Campos-Duffy, a Latina, said.

Both Duffys are veterans of MTVs "Real World" — she was on in 1994; he was on in 1997. They met in 1998 on MTV's "Road Rules All Stars" and have been married almost 15 years.

"We're the most fertile reality TV couple," she joked on "Morning Joe."

The Duffys and their six children — Evita Pilar, Xavier Jack, Lucia-Belen, John-Paul, Paloma Pilar and MariaVictoria Margarita — live in Wausau, Wis.
