Officials have been sending out save-the-date emails for a Jan. 18 gala called “Snacks & Sips & Dancing & Dessert,” sources told the Chicago Tribune on Thursday.

The first lady’s birthday is actually Jan. 17. The White House has been telling those invited to wear comfortable shoes and eat before they arrive.

Entertainment and the guest list have not yet been revealed, according to the Tribune’s report.

Obama hinted she was going to have such an event during a visit earlier this month to a children's hospital.

“It might involve some dancing,” she said when asked about her upcoming birthday.

She's shown off her dance moves when she appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and performed in the clip “The Evolution of Mom Dancing."
