The legislation, introduced by Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), would create a commission charged with analyzing national and state marijuana laws.

Bass signed on as a co-sponsor in November, initially interested in examining various marijuana policies in states across the nation. However, prolonged negative feedback from her constituents drove Bass to withdraw her co-sponsorship, her office said.
