Washington insiders and many others on Thursday took to Twitter to urge Netflix to move up the Season Two premiere of "House of Cards."
Fans of the hit show, many of whom are snowed in by the massive storm that hit the mid-Atlantic and the Northeast, can't wait for Friday. The show is scheduled to premiere at 3:01 a.m. EST on Valentine's Day.
Aaron Blake, a political reporter at The Washington Post and an alumni of The Hill, tweeted, "C'mon @Netflix. Release House of Cards today and you will have millions of grateful snowed-in customers." It was retweeted 77 times.
Others inside and outside Washington, D.C., made similar pleas.
A spokeswoman for Netflix said it's "unlikely" that the release date will be changed.
Not everyone, however, is disappointed. Kevin Madden, a GOP political strategist, said on Twitter he's still catching up on episodes of Season One, so "keep your schedule netflix..."
