First lady Michelle Obama and Jenna Bush Hager — the daughter of former President George W. Bush — are slated to tape an interview as part of a new "Today" show series on body image.

“We’re kicking off a series called 'Love Your Selfie,' " Savannah Guthrie, a "Today" show anchor, said Thursday. "This is all about body image, and there are a lot of people speaking out about this."

In addition to the first lady, Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz and journalist Maria Shriver will participate in the series.

Obama will tape her appearance in Bowie, Md., after an event at a child-care facility there, where she is expected to tout commitments from thousands of day care and preschool facilities to increase physical activities and serve healthier foods and beverages.

The "Today" show interview will conclude a week of events designed to mark the four-year anniversary of the first lady's "Let's Move" initiative.

On Thursday, the first lady will appear on “The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon. Next week, she's slated to appear with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack for a school lunch event at the White House, and will travel on Tuesday to Miami for an event at a parks and recreation center.

The first lady's other media appearances will include an "Extra" interview with Mario Lopez, a "¡Despierta América!" interview with Satcha Pretto, and an interview with TV chef Rachel Ray.
