There, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) will receive the Special Olympics’ highest honor in recognition of his contributions to the movement and the “positive impact he has had on the lives of million of Americans with intellectual disabilities,” according to a release.

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Special Olympics Chairman Timothy Shriver will pay tribute to Harkin, who is retiring at the end of this Congress.
