Former President George H.W. Bush hosted a screening for a new television show about espionage during the American Revolution on Saturday, according to reports.

Bush, himself a former CIA director, and his wife, Barbara, welcomed actors and executive producers of the AMC show “Turn” to their Houston home, according to Deadline.

“AMC put together a brilliant show, a fantastic cast,” Bush said at the screening, according to Deadline. “There’s one problem however, and that’s waiting till the next episode.”

Charlie Collier, AMC’s president, said it was “utterly fascinating” to loop in Bush, “who knows first-hand from his days at the CIA, the danger these men and women faced as spies, and the sacrifices they made which ultimately ensured America’s freedom.”

The former president has even been invited to the writers’ room of the show, which premieres next Sunday.
