Jim Klobuchar, the father of Sen. Amy KlobucharAmy Jean KlobucharFranken resignation could upend Minnesota races Avalanche of Democratic senators say Franken should resign Trump-free Kennedy Center Honors avoids politics MORE (D-Minn.), is going to take his travels to new heights.

The former Minneapolis Star Tribune columnist, who owns a travel club called Jim Klobuchar’s Adventures, is planning a September trip with the group to the Himalayas.

“Our trek in Nepal in September will be a kind of pilgrimage in a part of the world once mysterious but now a reasonable and transforming destination for those who come to discover or to renew an experience like none other,” Klobuchar writes on his website. “No heroics are needed. What you need above all is curiosity and it’s rewarded memorably.”

The itinerary includes sightseeing in Pokhara, a monastery visit and mountain hikes.

While it’ll be the 18th visit to Nepal as director of his travel club, Klobuchar says he’s not sick of making the trek, writing, “Nepal and the Himalayas are always a gift.”
