Secretary of State John KerryJohn KerryFrustrated Dems say Obama botched Russia response Budowsky: Dems madder than hell Tillerson: 'My view didn’t change' on Paris climate agreement MORE made what sounded like a pot joke during a speech to business people on Thursday.

Kerry was reminiscing about how he got the idea one night to start a successful cookie business in Boston's Faneuil Hall. Kilvert & Forbes cookies still exists under a different owner.

"I actually was having a wonderful dinner at one of the establishments in Faneuil Hall. I hope many of you have been there. And the friends I were with — and we did enjoy one bottle too many and we came out and — I don't know if you've ever had that late-night chocolate chip cookie craving, for the right reasons," he said to knowing laughter in the Export-Import Bank annual conference.

The Kilvert & Forbes website says Kerry founded the company while he was practicing law, which Kerry found to be "quite predictable and very boring."
