Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) will play in a celebrity softball game Monday at Yankee Stadium, The Associated Press reports.

Celebrities will face alumni of the New York Yankees and the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team in the fourth annual Bombers Boomer Broadway Softball Classic.

Former Yankee players that will participate include Charlie Hayes and Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez. The other players include football great Anthony Munoz, basketball star Wally Szczerbiak, hockey Hall-of-Famer Mark Messier and Mets closer John Franco.

Christie, who will play third base on Monday, was a star catcher in high school. The AP notes he recently joked about taking over as the New York Mets’ general manager.

Last year, the governor was inducted into the Little League Hall of Excellence for his baseball skills.
