Rep. Joaquin Castro weds wife — again

It appears Rep. Joaquín Castro (D-Texas) took a second walk down the aisle with his wife, Anna Flores.

Leticia Van de Putte, the Democratic nominee for Texas lieutenant governor, revealed the wedding bells news in a tweet last week, writing, “ ‘I Joaquin take you Anna’ marriage of @Castro4Congress & Anna Flores.” Van de Putte also congratulated the pair in Spanish and included a photo of a tuxedo-wearing groom holding hands with his bride at the altar.

Castro, 39, and Flores were married in a private ceremony among family members in San Antonio last year. At the time, his spokeswoman, Laura Zapata, told us the pair was also “planning a Catholic ceremony [this] summer to celebrate with friends.” Zapata did not return ITK’s request for comment about the latest nuptials.

The couple welcomed a baby girl, Andrea Elena Castro, in December.
