President Obama could be among the guests hearing the “I do’s” at the weekend wedding of one of his high-profile staffers.

ITK hears that Sam Kass, the president’s senior policy adviser for nutrition policy and the executive director of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign, is tying the knot over Labor Day weekend to MSNBC host Alex Wagner. The pair announced their engagement last summer and have been dubbed "politics' It-couple of the year" by Vogue magazine.

Word is the commander in chief is headed to the nuptials, and may have even changed his mid-August vacation plans to travel back to Washington for the White House chef’s pre-wedding festivities. Obama interrupted his annual summer getaway on Martha's Vineyard earlier this month to return to the nation's capital.

He spent nearly five hours at Kass's Logan Circle home during that trip, according to a White House press pool report. A spokesman said at the time that the president's D.C. excursion was for "a day or two of in-person meetings" at the White House, but the Washington press corps was left buzzing about possible reasons for the trek back to the West Wing.

Kass isn’t the only Obama staffer apparently taking the plunge this weekend. Jim Messina, Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign manager, is also walking down the aisle in Montana, according to our source.

The Kass and Wagner vows wouldn't be the first time Obama has attended a marriage ceremony as president. Obama was seen wearing a light gray suit as he and the first family were photographed at the wedding of senior adviser Valerie Jarrett's daughter, Laura, in 2012.

Neither Messina nor the White House returned ITK’s requests for comment.

The president also played host to White House photographer Pete Souza's wedding last October, which was held in the Rose Garden.
