Pawlenty shoots to kill, but deer gets away
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) shot and wounded a buck on Saturday, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The injured deer disappeared into the woods, leaving a blood trail that hunters followed for a few hours, but the governor had to leave early to give a speech in Iowa. At press time, hunters still had no luck in locating the wounded animal.
Hours after the incident, Pawlenty said he was a "shoot and release" hunter.
