Photo: Salahis' 'pay-to-play' wedding week

By Christina Wilkie - 12/02/09 12:48 AM ET

Tareq and Michaele Salahi, the alleged crashers at a White House state dinner last Tuesday, held a wedding in 2003, wherein, according to a guest who attended, "every part of the wedding cost [guests] a fee but the wedding itself."

At left is a copy of the wedding week program, which included equine adventures, special dinners, and yacht trips. "We had to pay for all of those, separately," said a guest, who spoke to ITK on the condition of anonymity.

"Once we replied, we got all the prices in an email," said the guest, "and you didn't want to back out because of cost, after you'd said yes, but we were shocked. We'd never seen that before."
