Sen. Casey noticed party crashers despite wardrobe malfunction

Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pa.) had a state dinner snafu of his own last Tuesday but it didn't prevent him from noticing the alleged White House party crashers, Tareq and Micheale Salahi.

“I didn’t meet them, but I do remember seeing them,” Casey told The Hill. “I had my own little controversy: I lost my cummerbund.” Casey’s cummerbund slithered from his waist to the floor as he passed by reporters.

In the wake of the controversy over the couple's appearance at the dinner, everyone from CBS's Katie Couric to Vice President Joe Biden has been asked for their recollections of the pair from that night. "They acted like they were my old buddies," said Biden on Wednesday.
