Liberal actor Tim Robbins donates to GOP lawmakers

Actor Tim Robbins, an outspoken liberal, recently donated $5,000 to various Republicans, including Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.). Robbins has been shocking the public lately, with his separation from longtime girlfriend Susan Sarandon and now with donations to conservatives. Last year, Robbins gave over $23,700 to various Democrats and Democratic campaigns, including Obama for America.

The Daily Beast reported that former Congressman J.D. Hayworth (R-Ariz.) was surprised with Robbins’ recent $500 donation to his still active campaign account. Robbins gave $500 to 10 Republicans in the House and Senate.

In addition to Hayworth and Bachmann, Robbins also gave to former Reps. Nancy Johnson (R-Conn.), Charles Taylor (R-N.C.), Rep. Raymond Meier (R-N.Y.), who was in the New York State Senate for five terms, former U.S. Reps. Deborah Pryce (R-Ohio), Heather Wilson (R-N.M.), John Doolittle (R-Calif.), John Hostettler (R-Ind.) and Curt Weldon (R-Penn.).
