Jonas Brother in town for Special Olympics Wednesday

By Kate Oczypok - 01/26/10 10:59 PM ET

Joe Jonas, the middle brother in the musical group The Jonas Brothers will be in D.C. Wednesday in honor of Special Olympics athletes and Best Buddies participants as part of their annual “Capitol Hill Day.”

Capitol Hill Day honors the legacy of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and will include coaches, program leaders and members from 45 states, according to a press release.

Jonas will be advocating for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Act of 2010 along with Timothy and Anthony Shriver. Eunice Kennedy Shriver was founder and honorary chairperson of the Special Olympics until her death in August 2009.

This isn’t the first time Jonas has gotten involved with the Special Olympics. The gossip site celebuzz.com reported that Jonas led a 5K in August to benefit the Special Olympics in Texas.
