Sherman welcomes well-timed baby girl

Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) and his wife, Lisa, had to be nervous. They were expecting a baby — and the blizzard of the century was barreling toward the nation's capital.
Fortunately, little Naomi Claire Sherman is not a procrastinator. On Friday afternoon, Naomi indicated she was ready for this world, and the Sherman family headed to a Washington-area hospital in the afternoon, hours before the heaviest snow hit.
"Mother, baby and her 1-year-old sister, Molly, are all doing fine---and the father is expected to recover, Sherman said.
