Heidi Montag lobbies for financial regulatory reform

In a move that has both Hollywood and Washington scratching their heads, reality TV star and plastic surgery fan Heidi Montag is jumping into the political advocacy arena. Her issue? Financial regulatory reform. Yep, you read that right.

"The Hills" star, who recently underwent ten plastic surgery procedures in one day, appears in a new online video directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard, part of a series of humorous clips sponsored by Americans for Financial Reform.

The video appears on the website FunnyorDie.com, and in it, Montag spoofs herself, explaining how she paid for her now-infamous surgeries with a credit card, but how hidden fees and interest rate hikes could end up making her new jawline a lot more expensive than she thought.

Montag urges viewers to call their member of Congress and lobby for a consumer financial protection agency. The video was scripted, but for viewers who remember Montag's antics on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here," it's still a trip to hear her use bit political words.
