Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) is a big fan of Bob Dylan's. The lawmaker, who's an avid guitar player, even wished recently that the GOP could "roll" like a Bob Dylan tour.

So McCotter was angry to learn this week that Chinese authorities' banned a tour by the legendary folk singer from performing concerts in mainland China. According to reports, China's Ministry of Culture vetoed two scheduled Dylan concerts, in Beijing and Shanghai, presumably due to the liberal political and social themes of Dylan's music.

McCotter riffed on one of Dylan's best known lines in a Tweet Wednesday morning, tapping out, "The Chi-Coms they aren't a-changin'."

The Chi-Coms? That's 1960's shorthand for the Chinese Communists. Very groovy, congressman.
