Pelosi: Watching from above, Murtha likely pleased that election to replace him was called early

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that the late Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) was likely pleased that the race to replace him was called early last Tuesday night.

Mark Critz, a former Murtha aide (pictured here), won the special election to succeed his former boss. And Critz won in such convincing fashion that the race was called before 10 p.m.

In an interview with ITK, a smiling Pelosi said, "Being Jack Murtha's seat, it was important we ended early because he was always out of here early. Every night he was out the door so I know watching from above or orchestrating from above, he would want it to be decided to be early."
