Actor and filmmaker Ed Burns will premiere his latest independent film "Johnny Nice Guy" on Tuesday night at the Newseum.

Burns's quirky romantic comedy won praise at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York earlier this year for its portrayal of a young man's quarter-life crisis set in the decadent Hamptons.

Following a reception there will be a panel discusssion with Burns on the topic of independent film, moderated by Comcast Programming Group president Jeff Shell

The movie will be screened after the panel, followed by another reception at 10 p. m.

Burns is married to former supermodel Christy Turlington, who was in Washington last month to lobby for increased funding for global women's health. No word on whether Turlington will grace Tuesday's screening.
