Republican rising star and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was spotted Tuesday night at the popular D.C. restaurant and wine bar Proof.
Christie ducked in the front door of the Penn Quarter eatery (shown here) at about 8:45 p.m., surrounded by a phalanx of security.
The popular governor had just finished delivering a keynote speech at a dinner for the Foundation for Excellence in Education, an organization founded by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R).
No word on who Christie was meeting at Proof, but with his popularity and profile on the rise nationwide, some GOP strategists have floated his name as a possible presidential candidate.
