Attention, congressional press secretaries: The granddaddy of political TV wants to help you get your boss on the air.
On Friday, Feb. 4, C-SPAN will hold a free seminar and lunch designed to teach congressional communications staffers how to pitch the legislators they work for to the cable network's various platforms and programs. (Just imagine, this could be your boss, and not Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas)).
Titled simply, "Pitching
and Events to C-SPAN," the 90 minute course will include pointers on how to effectively use C-SPAN's comprehensive video library as well as its Congressional Chronicle feature.
The lunch will take place at C-SPAN's Capitol Hill offices, at 400 North Capitol St., NW., Ste. 650. That's about a ten minute walk from House and Senate offices.
To register for the course, email Tamara Robinson before January 28 at email@example.com.
