T.V. journos appear in country music video

altSome of T.V. news’ most recognized women are teaming up and appearing in a music video with a message.

“Today” host Hoda Kotb, former “CBS Evening News” anchor Katie Couric, and “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts all offer some words of wisdom in country singer Martina McBride’s new single, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.” The song details the strength in supporting loved ones who are fighting cancer.

The video debuted online on Wednesday. Couric, whose husband died of colon cancer, says at one point in the video, “I’m lucky that I have a family that’s incredibly supportive.”

Kotb and Roberts are both breast cancer survivors. In a clip, Kotb says, “You know people love you in your life, but you don’t know how much, until you get sick.” Roberts exclaims, “Somebody loved me through this, and I’m going to love somebody else through it. And that’s what we have to do for one another.”

“I’m Gonna Love You Through It” appears on McBride’s new album, “Eleven,” set to be released in mid-October.
