Scary song plays before press briefing

Cue the scary music...

CBS News White House correspondent Peter Maer tweeted on Wednesday morning, “Omen? Speakers in #Vineyard White House media hotel blare Alice Cooper’s ‘Welcome to my Nightmare’ minutes before press office briefing.”

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest was scheduled to speak to reporters at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Martha’s Vineyard, where President Obama is vacationing with his family. The briefing ended up starting about half an hour late – merely a coincidence, we’re sure.
