Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) counts on some of her friends in Congress to help keep her weight in check.
The junior senator, who was named one of The Hill’s “50 Most Beautiful” in 2010, graces the pages of the January issue of Self magazine with details about how she has successfully battled the bulge since losing 40 lbs. two years ago.
Gillibrand gives readers a peek into her sweat-heavy weekly workout schedule, revealing Tuesdays are spent in Washington playing an hour- long game of squash against Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.).
The lawmaker says her typical Wednesday and Thursday involves a three-mile run with Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) and Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) before practice time with the congressional women’s softball team.
Guess breaking a sweat is a bipartisan effort.
