Terrence Howard says a screening of his latest movie with ex-President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush brought the former first lady to tears.
The actor stars in the new movie, “Red Tails” about the Tuskegee Airmen, who were the first group of African-American pilots to serve in the U.S. military.
The entertainer revealed on “Access Hollywood Live” Wednesday that a recent viewing of the flick with the Bushes brought on waterworks, saying, “Barbara was crying.” Howard said a sad ending was to blame for Mrs. Bush’s teary reaction.
When the New York Daily News asked in a separate interview whether Howard had comforted the former president’s wife, he reportedly shook his head and smiled as he replied, “I’m not touching another man’s wife.”
President Obama and Michelle Obama hosted another screening of “Red Tails” at the White House last week.
