Former NBA star Charles Barkley threw down some political smack talk against Mitt Romney Sunday night saying the presumptive GOP presidential nominee would be beaten "like a drum in November."
"Mitt Romney, listen man. We’re gonna beat you like a drum in November," Barkley said during the TNT broadcast of Sunday night's Celtics game. "Don’t take it personally. I like you, you seem like a nice guy. But you’re going down, bro."
“This is not a paid political ad,” interjected Barkey's TNT colleague Ernie Johnson, Jr.
Barkley's comments came as cameras cut to a shot of Romney mingling at Game 4 of the first-round playoff series between the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks with his wife Ann. The two sat with Romney's Bain Capital colleague and campaign adviser Bob White at center court, about twelve rows back, according to the Associated Press.
