Members of Congress strike a pose against same-sex marriage ban

By Judy Kurtz - 10/11/12 04:13 PM ET

Watch out, Tyra — more than two dozen House members are seen strutting their stuff in just-released photos snapped for the NOH8 campaign.

The release of the 26 pics Thursday coincides with National Coming Out Day, which celebrates gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people revealing their sexuality.

It’s not the first time lawmakers have teamed up with the NOH8 campaign, which opposes California’s Proposition 8 ban on same-sex marriage. Ten House Democrats donned the “NOH8” logo and duct tape on their faces for photos posted back in February.

"Though both congressional photo sessions have been open to all parties in both the House and Senate, only Democratic Representatives have participated to date. We hope these photos inspire elected officials from all parties to participate in the future,” NOH8 founders Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley said in a statement on the group’s website.

The latest batch of lawmakers shows a bit of personality in their pics. Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-Calif.) dons a bright red suit as she throws up a pair of deuces, Rep. Janice Hahn (D-Calif.) gets lovey-dovey by making a heart with her hands and Rep. Jan Shakowsky (D-Ill.) shows her might by displaying a toned tricep.
